Fun in the Sun
Wow, this winter is never-ending!
My family and I escaped to the Yucatan last week, packing our bags by candlelight and heading to the airport after our power had been knocked out by a winter storm. It was a glorious break from the cold and snow, and the kids had a great time swimming and learning about Mexican culture!
What is your favorite family escape?
Hanging on a Brooklyn Stoop
The fall portrait season is in full swing, and this family has me come every year to do their portraits. This year we hung out on their Brooklyn stoop, playing with different configurations, generally having a good time.
It’s Fall!! Don’t wait too long to book your session!
I am now booking portrait sessions for October and November. Please don’t wait till the last minute if you are interested in having portraits taken before the holidays!
Summer Fun
This vibrant family connected with me through my son’s fabulous preschool in Beacon, NY. We met on a mild but sunny July day for an energetic portrait session near the Hudson River. What fun the boys had, jumping and climbing on the rocks and chasing bubbles!
Last Hours as New Yorkers
This beautiful family asked me to document their last few hours as NYC residents before they moved out of state. We had so much fun playing along the waterfront of Long Island City!
Picnicking Patrons
A few weeks ago, the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival asked me to photograph theirĀ patrons, who frequently picnic before the performance. HereĀ are a few highlights.
Northampton, MA Mini Sessions!!
I don’t often offer mini sessions, but when a friend asked if I would during our upcoming college reunion, I agreed. Here are the details, in case you happen to be at or near Smith College next weekend.
Dia Beacon!
One thing I love about portrait photography is seeing the same family year after year. This family has been with me since I opened my business in 2011. At our first shoot their son had just turned one; now he is 6!
Each year they choose a different location for their shoot, and this year they chose DIA Beacon, which is not only an amazing backdrop, but local to where I now live. Fun!
Thanksgiving in Philadelphia
I don’t just photograph families in the New York City metro area! While I was visiting my family in Philadelphia over Thanksgiving, this family asked me to come to where they had gathered to take some portraits of their extended family. Grown siblings, their spouses and children – what fun!
